Tragic news has been reported in Beauregard Parish, LA regarding suspected foster child abuse. According to the state Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS), an 18-month-old girl who had been in custody less than a month is now suspected to have been killed by her foster father. As reported by KPLC, the child had brain bleeding in various stages of healing when she was brought to the hospital on July 21.
Foster care abuse happens more than most people realize. The stark reality is that many of these children face abuse and neglect from the people who are supposed to care for them.
